Research and Team Projects

Research has long pushed the frontier of knowledge in the university setting. Today, distance learning and studies involving research in remote locations makes the need to collaborate on files more important than ever. GroupDrive offers a simple way to access and collaborate on a set of files – whether connected to the campus network or connecting remotely from another location. Collaboration through a browser based interface enables file sharing from kiosks or hand-held devices with browser support. The GroupDrive client enables researchers to access and collaborate on files from within the applications that they are already using.

GroupDrive’s SimulShare technology enables multiple researchers to access large databases and other large files simultaneously. Users are never “locked out” of a file, so research can continue without file locking delays. The SimulShare technology also protects against users overwriting another users work.
